Learn and Earn with FWD Affiliates PH App 3.0

FWD Life Insurance’s FWD Affiliates PH app 3.0 is a one-of-a-kind mobile app that rewards you with cash-convertible points for helping others learn to manage their money and finances

In the 2019 Financial Inclusion Survey conducted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the biggest percentage of Filipinos—a whopping 41%—can only answer 1 of 3 financial literacy questions correctly. A meager 8% can answer three. This clearly shows how important and relevant financial education is for Filipinos.

The pandemic made many Filipinos realize the value of taking care of your finances, only a few really put it in practice. Blame it on the lack of awareness, limited access to credible information and lack of reliable role models.

FWD Life Insurance’s FWD Affiliates PH app 3.0 hopes to bridge this information gap by giving Filipinos access to credible finance and insurance-related content and making it rewarding for them to become an advocate for financial education. Through the app, you can get cash-convertible rewards when you share articles and posts about personal finance, investing, and handling money on Facebook, Instagram, Viber, Messenger, and email.

“Our goal is to protect every Filipino family and secure their future. And education is key to helping them make sound financial decisions and grow their wealth. FWD Affiliates PH app 3.0 makes it easy and fun to spread this message and get rewarded for doing so. In this way, they are not just improving their own lives but also helping others do the same,” says FWD Life Insurance President and Chief Executive Officer Li Hao Zhuang.

As part of the commitment, FWD will be giving away complimentary insurance coverage worth Php200 million from October 10–31. The first 10,000 people who download and register FWD Affiliates PH app 3.0 will be eligible to get a free one-year accidental death and dismemberment insurance. The contribution of FWD Affiliates PH app 3.0 in pushing for financial education among Filipinos has not gone unnoticed. Recently, the app was recognized as the Insurance Inclusion Initiative of the Year in the Insurance Asia Awards 2022. It is a validation of how the app can play a significant role in helping Filipinos become financially literate, and how it can rapidly grow an army of financial literacy advocates who will help educate countless more Filipinos to take care of their finances.

It’s like the pay-it-forward concept that we are all familiar with. Learn and earn from what you love to do online, then share the knowledge and the potential to earn with your network. The rewarding cycle continues. We are changing the way people feel about insurance,” says FWD Life Insurance Chief Marketing Officer Roche Vandenberghe.

In just two years, more than 600,000 content from the app have been shared in various platforms. This is testament to the massive need and current demand for content on personal finance.
