Every All Saints’ Day, millions of Filipinos hit the road—or the skies—to honor family and faith. But this year, Undas travel tells a more dynamic story. According to AirAsia MOVE, the newly rebranded online travel platform, Filipinos are transforming what used to be a purely reflective observance into a mix of remembrance, recreation, and reconnection.
From October 30 to November 2, 2025, 81% of travelers booked domestic flights, proving that the call to “umuwi sa probinsya” remains strong. Yet, 19% took the long weekend as a chance to go international—heading to Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul. This balance between tradition and wanderlust reflects a generation that values both heritage and new experiences.

Manila, Cebu, Tacloban, Iloilo, and Bacolod emerged as top origin points, revealing how key city hubs keep families linked across the archipelago. Interestingly, Manila also topped destination charts—not just as a jump-off point, but as home to the country’s largest cemetery, where over 1.6 million visitors paid respects last year. Meanwhile, Boracay replaced Bacolod in this year’s top destination list, underscoring how some Filipinos blend the solemn with the scenic—turning Undas into both a homecoming and a holiday.
Travel behavior also tells a story of preparedness and practicality. Most travelers planned ahead, with 34% booking their trips two to four weeks in advance, peaking on October 30—one day before the official break. Nearly half of the trips lasted three to four days, and 21% stretched to almost a week, suggesting that many Filipinos extended their Undas journeys into mini-vacations.

Through platforms like AirAsia MOVE, travel has become more purposeful and accessible, connecting people across generations and geographies. Whether for family, faith, or fun, Filipinos continue to move—with heart, heritage, and hope guiding every trip.
