Hino Motors, Ltd. Japan is steering into a new chapter of innovation and collaboration as it joins forces with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation under the newly formed holding company, ARCHION Corporation, set to launch in April 2026. Based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, this strategic alliance merges two of Japan’s most trusted truck brands, creating a powerhouse that aims to redefine global standards in reliability, efficiency, and smart transport solutions.
The name ARCHION—symbolizing connection and creation—captures the partnership’s vision to build the future of mobility through shared expertise. Appointed as Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of ARCHION, Hino President and CEO Satoshi Ogiso will ensure that Hino’s engineering excellence, quality standards, and customer-centered philosophy remain integral to the group’s technological direction.
Rooted in Hino’s long-standing Total Support philosophy, ARCHION seeks to expand this customer-first mindset across a global platform. By integrating R&D, procurement, and production systems, the alliance will deliver greater efficiency, faster innovation cycles, and enhanced service capabilities—ultimately benefiting transport operators worldwide. “Our goal is simple—to put customers at the center of everything we do,” said Ogiso. “Through collaboration, we can build stronger, smarter, and more sustainable solutions.”
ARCHION’s structure allows both the HINO and FUSO brands to retain their unique identities while leveraging shared technologies under an Integrated Platform Model. This ensures healthy internal competition and continuous improvement, giving customers wider choices and higher-quality products.
Beyond operational synergy, the partnership accelerates Hino’s commitment to CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric) technologies. Backed by the combined networks of Toyota and Daimler Truck, ARCHION will advance next-generation innovations—from zero-emission vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells to smart fleet connectivity and autonomous driving.
As Ogiso aptly summarized, “By combining our strengths, we are not just shaping the future of trucks—we are shaping the future of mobility itself.”
