This summer, GameZone is turning up the heat with the much-anticipated GameZone Tablegame Champions Cup (GTCC): Summer Showdown, a five-day Tongits tournament with an electrifying ₱10,000,000 prize pool. Taking place from June 12 to 15, the event will pit 135 of the Philippines’ most elite Tongits players against each other in a test of sharp strategy, quick thinking, and card mastery.
While many see Tongits as a casual pastime, the GTCC proves otherwise. This beloved Filipino card game demands a deep understanding of gameplay, bluffing, and anticipation—qualities that separate seasoned players from novices. With the summer spotlight shining on GameZone’s grand stage, the GTCC promises fans a gripping display of tactics and tournament pressure.

The champion of the Summer Showdown will walk away with an impressive ₱5,000,000, while the second and third placers will earn ₱1,000,000 and ₱488,000, respectively. To earn a shot at these high rewards, players must first prove themselves in the Tongits Free Multi-Table Tournament, open from April 25 to May 16 on gzone.ph. The top-performing participants will be ranked on a leaderboard, with the final list of 135 official contenders announced on May 27.
The tournament format ensures intense competition throughout the five days. Participants will be randomly divided into three groups of 45—Groups A, B, and C. Each player’s ranking will be based on cumulative points from three 20-round games. From there, the top 84 will move on to a promotional round, split into upper and lower brackets. This phase will determine the top 9 semi-finalists.

Those nine will then face off in a high-stakes 60-round semi-final. The top three players emerging from that battle will advance to the 100-round championship game, where one will be crowned GTCC Summer Champion and take home the grand prize.
With millions on the line and only a few days to prove their prowess, the GTCC: Summer Showdown is not just a competition—it’s a celebration of Filipino card culture and competitive spirit. Whether you’re a player or spectator, all eyes will be on GameZone this June.
