Growing an Entertainment Brand with a Heart for Communities

Krizia Cortez, Director of Public Relations, PlayTime Entertainment and PlayTime CARES announce the brand’s pledge of Php 1 million to Alagang Kapatid Foundation as assistance to typhoon-stricken communities.

As PlayTime Entertainment steadily evolves into a dynamic force in the Philippine entertainment industry, it is ensuring that growth is guided not only by creativity and innovation, but also by purpose. At the center of this commitment is PlayTime CARES, the company’s corporate social responsibility arm, which continues to strengthen its partnership with Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), the humanitarian and social development arm of TV5 Network Inc.

The partnership reflects a shared belief that success should translate into service. By combining PlayTime CARES’ expanding reach and long-term vision with AKFI’s decades of experience in disaster response, livelihood programs, and grassroots community engagement, the collaboration focuses on uplifting Filipinos who are often unseen and underserved.

PlayTime CARES’ journey with AKFI began with direct, hands-on assistance. Last year, the organization supported fire survivors in Tondo, Manila through relief operations that included food, essential goods, and volunteer-driven meal distributions. What started as emergency aid soon grew into a broader, more strategic alliance aimed at sustained impact rather than one-time support.

This commitment became even more visible during the 38th Awit Awards, where PlayTime CARES stood alongside artists and advocates responding to communities devastated by typhoons. The company pledged Php 1 million to AKFI to help fund ongoing humanitarian and development initiatives—signaling its intention to remain a consistent partner in nation-building, especially for vulnerable sectors.

The partnership’s values were further brought to life during the recent holiday season. PlayTime CARES and AKFI organized a Christmas giving activity that focused on shared joy as much as material support. Beneficiaries took part in interactive games led by the PlayTime Baranggay group, enjoyed energetic performances by PlayTime Idols, and shared a warm Pinoy meal together. Each family went home with grocery packs, blankets, pillows, and other daily necessities—simple items that carried comfort and dignity.

Beyond donations, the initiative highlighted the importance of presence, empathy, and celebration in community work. It reinforced the idea that meaningful support is not just about responding to crises, but also about creating moments of connection and hope.

As PlayTime Entertainment continues to expand its footprint in the entertainment landscape, PlayTime CARES remains a steady anchor—ensuring that every milestone achieved is matched with programs that give back. Together with Alagang Kapatid Foundation, the organization is building a partnership rooted in shared responsibility, proving that entertainment can be a powerful platform for lasting social good.
