Empowering Youth, Uplifting Communities, and Nurturing the Planet
Globe is reinforcing its mission to build a #GlobeOfGood through a series of transformative initiatives in Western Mindanao—fostering digital inclusion, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability in underserved communities.
In partnership with Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Globe launched the Digital Horizons for Out-of-School Youth (OSY) program, a pioneering initiative that provides essential digital literacy, leadership training, and athletic development to prepare young Filipinos for a more connected future. The collaboration empowered 40 out-of-school youth and 117 WMSU students, faculty, and staff—laying the foundation for a stronger, digitally enabled generation in the region.

The company also brought its GT Coop CAREavan to WMSU’s College of Social Sciences and Public Education, engaging over 150 participants in a day of learning and volunteerism. The event featured Globe’s Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP), which tackled critical topics such as responsible online conduct, cyberbullying prevention, and telecommunications awareness. A symbolic turnover of shoes and whistles further highlighted Globe’s ongoing advocacy for inclusive education and youth development.
Beyond digital empowerment, Globe deepened its environmental commitment through the Coastal Digital Roots initiative in Misamis Oriental, where employee volunteers joined fisherfolk and local leaders to plant 917 mangrove seedlings in Barangay Baybay, Alubijid—protecting marine ecosystems and strengthening climate resilience.
“These initiatives embody our purpose of connecting Filipinos not just through technology, but through care and shared progress,” said Aldwin Mahusay, Assistant Director – HR Business Partner for VisMin at Globe. “By bridging digital gaps and protecting the environment, we’re building a future where no one is left behind.”
Globe’s continuing efforts across Western Mindanao underscore how technology, community partnerships, and sustainability can drive meaningful change—online and on the ground.
