Foundever® Champions Green Future with E-Waste Drive

In today’s fast-paced digital age, where gadgets quickly become outdated, electronic waste has quietly grown into one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues. Recognizing this challenge, Foundever® in the Philippines has taken a proactive step to promote sustainability by launching its own e-waste drop box initiative across all its sites in the country.

The program, which began in July at the Foundever® Pasig Technopoint site, empowers employees to become active participants in the fight against e-waste pollution. By providing easily accessible collection points, the company hopes to make the responsible disposal of old phones, laptops, batteries, and other devices a part of everyday workplace culture.

“This initiative is a reflection of our shared responsibility as a community,” said Willy Lim, Vice President for Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Marketing at Foundever®. “Environmental sustainability is not just a corporate responsibility, but a personal commitment from every member of our Foundever® family. With the help of our partner HMR Envirocycle Philippines, we are ensuring that electronic waste is disposed of safely and responsibly.”

HMR Envirocycle Philippines, accredited by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), specializes in the proper processing and recycling of e-waste. Their expertise guarantees that collected items are handled in line with environmental standards, with a focus on repair, reuse, and recycling. According to HMR’s Sustainability Director, Paolo Olbes, this collaboration reinforces shared goals of reducing emissions and achieving measurable carbon reductions.

The initiative is more than just about collection bins—it’s about education and engagement. Employees are encouraged to rethink their habits, reduce waste, and take part in solutions that extend beyond the workplace. By creating a convenient and reliable system, Foundever® fosters an environment where sustainability becomes second nature.

Beyond protecting the planet, the program also aligns with Foundever®’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda. Known for its community development and workforce empowerment programs, the company now strengthens its commitment to climate action, making sustainability an integral part of how it does business.

With every old phone or battery dropped into the box, Foundever® employees are reminded that small, consistent actions can drive big changes. As the initiative expands across its Philippine operations, it positions Foundever® not only as a leader in customer experience but also as a champion for a cleaner, greener future.
