The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a public warning against the purchase and use of the food supplement “LUXE SKIN BEAUTY TALKS L. ANNA Premium Oral Sunblock + Stem Cell Dietary Supplement” after discovering that the product remains unregistered with the agency.
In FDA Advisory No. 2026-0162 signed by FDA Director General Paolo Teston, the agency clarified that the product has no Certificate of Product Registration (CPR), which is required before any health-related product can legally be distributed and sold in the Philippines.
According to the FDA, the product was identified during its post-marketing surveillance and online monitoring activities. Because the supplement has not passed through the agency’s official evaluation process, the FDA stressed that there is no assurance regarding its safety, quality, or effectiveness for consumers.
The advisory emphasized that under Republic Act No. 9711, also known as the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009, the unauthorized manufacture, importation, exportation, distribution, promotion, and sale of health products without proper approval are strictly prohibited.
The agency also reminded businesses, online sellers, and distributors to immediately stop advertising or selling the product until the necessary registration has been secured. Violators may face corresponding sanctions and regulatory actions from the government.
Local government units and law enforcement agencies were likewise urged to monitor their areas and prevent the circulation of the unregistered supplement. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Customs was requested to block the possible importation and exportation of the product to protect consumers from potentially unsafe health items entering the market.
The FDA continues to encourage the public to remain cautious when purchasing supplements and to verify whether products are properly registered before use to ensure consumer safety.
