FAST Unveils ESG Roadmap, Commits to Net Zero by 2050

FAST Logistics Group, the country’s largest end-to-end logistics solutions provider, has formally announced its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy alongside a bold commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The announcement was made during the 2025 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference at EDSA Shangri-La Manila.

Decarbonization Targets

FAST’s roadmap sets an ambitious goal of reducing direct emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 55% by 2030, using 2023 as a baseline year. The company is pursuing investments in green technologies, waste and packaging reduction programs, and renewable energy solutions to minimize its overall environmental footprint.

Anchored on Four Priorities

The new ESG strategy is structured around four pillars:

  • Promoting customer satisfaction and welfare
  • Building a safe and empowered workplace
  • Transitioning to a low-carbon economy
  • Strengthening governance and risk management

“Our journey to Net Zero is a transformation of how we power, move, and manage logistics,” said FAST CEO for Logistics Manuel L. Onrejas Jr. “Every step we take to cut emissions brings us closer to a future where sustainability drives competitiveness.”

Scale and Responsibility

The scale of FAST’s operations underscores the significance of its sustainability agenda. The company operates the Philippines’ largest warehouse footprint with more than two million square meters, handles over one billion cases annually, manages more than one million pallet positions, and runs the country’s biggest transport fleet of over 3,100 trucks.

Onrejas emphasized that FAST’s sustainability vision is deeply tied to its mission of “Logistics Para sa Bayan”—serving businesses of all sizes, supporting communities, and protecting the planet.

Innovation and Recognition

FAST has been at the forefront of green logistics innovation. In 2024, it introduced the country’s first fully electric truck equipped with GPS, AI dashboards, and dashcams, powered by FAST Recharge solar charging stations. Three of its warehouses already operate on 100% renewable energy, preventing millions of kilograms in carbon emissions.

These efforts were recognized with the Green and Sustainability Logistics Award at the 2024 SCMAP Supply Chain Excellence Awards.

Industry Engagement

As a sponsor of this year’s SCMAP Conference, FAST showcased its integrated logistics offerings—including transportation, warehousing, cross-docking, and value-added services—highlighting its vision of making logistics a driver of both business growth and sustainable progress.
