DXN Philippines gets the DTI Seal of Legitimacy

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has recently granted its Seal of Legitimacy or the Seal to DXN International Private Ltd., a multi-level marketing (MLM) firm originated in Malaysia that expanded to over 180 countries including the Philippines, which promotes and distributes health food supplement, beverages, personal care, cosmetics, and household products. With over 16.4 million registered distributors worldwide, DXN is solidifying its position as one of the world leader in Ganoderma products.

The Seal is a mark that distinguishes legitimate MLM and direct selling (DS) companies from fly-by-night scams and pyramiding schemes.

Under DAO 21-09, as amended, companies engaged in legitimate MLM and DS companies may be granted the Seal that will serve as a mark distinguishing them from those with questionable practices. With the Seal, the DTI hopes to protect the public from becoming victims of companies employing a chain of distribution plans or pyramiding scams that are prohibited under Article 53 of Republic Act No. 7394 (RS 7394) otherwise known as the Consumer Act of the Philippines. Further, to guide the public in choosing the MLM and DS companies they will engage with and to boost their confidence.

Companies that apply for the Seal shall undergo the evaluation process by the Seal of Legitimacy Evaluation Committee chaired by the Director of the DTI – Consumer Affairs and Advocacy Bureau (CAAB).

Interested MLM and DS companies may submit their application together with the requirements to the CAAB.

The Seal conferred to DXN Philippines was launched on August 3, 2024 at the company head office located at Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City, which was attended by DXN’s key network leaders, officers and representatives from the DTI and the Direct Selling Association of the Philippines (DSAP).

This achievement marks as a significant milestone for DXN Philippines. After the significant listing of DXN Holdings Bhd. on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd. in May 2023, which will allow the company to further enhance its corporate visibility and access to new markets. This is also part of the company planning to expand its business operations to five new markets within the next three to five years.

Furthermore, enlisting in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) and obtaining the Seal will coincide with the forthcoming grand celebration of DXN Philippines’ 25th Anniversary on December 7, 2024 at Fil-Oil Eco-Oil Center in San Juan City.
