On January 15, the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Klook Philippines entered into an exciting partnership aimed at enhancing travel accessibility across the Philippines. This collaboration marks a significant step in promoting the Philippine Experience Program (PEP), a flagship initiative designed to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage and diverse tourist attractions. Under this new partnership, Klook will feature curated tour packages that highlight must-visit destinations, aligning with the Marcos Administration’s vision of reintroducing the Philippines to global travelers.

As part of this initiative, Klook is now offering an array of immersive experiences tailored for various interests. For instance, adventure seekers can explore Calabarzon’s stunning Pagsanjan Falls and engage with local art at Pinto Art Museum through a specially designed Culture, Heritage & Arts Tour.
Meanwhile, those heading to Bicol can enjoy an exhilarating ATV ride up Mayon Volcano while indulging in delectable Bicolano cuisine—a true testament to the region’s culinary richness. Travelers venturing north will find captivating tours in the Ilocos Region where UNESCO World Heritage sites reveal stories from the Spanish colonial era.

Visitors can sample traditional delicacies such as empanadas while engaging with local artisans. In Western Visayas, Silay City beckons with its preserved colonial architecture and fresh seafood offerings during its own Culture, Heritage & Arts Tour. Palawan’s beauty also takes center stage through exclusive experiences that delve into its history and natural wonders—visitors can learn about WWII memorials or participate in weaving workshops amidst breathtaking scenery.
The partnership not only emphasizes these curated tours but also aims to integrate DOT’s Tourist Rest Areas (TRAs) on Klook for enhanced traveler convenience. The ceremonial signing was led by Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and Klook President Eric Gnock Fah alongside key officials from both organizations.

Secretary Frasco expressed her enthusiasm for how this alliance would promote tourism opportunities across various destinations in a more equitable manner while sharing Filipino culture authentically. Echoing her sentiments, Gnock Fah highlighted Klook’s commitment to uncovering unique travel adventures within the vibrant landscapes of the Philippines.
With over half a million experiences available on its platform across 2,700 destinations nationwide, Klook looks forward to continuing their legacy of fostering tourism growth—previously demonstrated through training initiatives during challenging times like the pandemic and launching collaborative campaigns celebrating Filipino culture.
