DITO Telecommunity, in collaboration with Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corporation, is enhancing the digital experience at Clark International Airport with a PHP 50 million investment in high-speed Wi-Fi services over the next two years. This partnership aligns with the airport’s mission to become a premier air gateway, delivering seamless connectivity for travelers and stakeholders alike, supported by DITO’s advanced 5G infrastructure.

Through this initiative, passengers at Clark International Airport can enjoy free, high-speed Wi-Fi, enabling them to stay connected, stream media, and work on the go. This reliable internet access contributes to a globally competitive travel experience, supporting both domestic and international passengers. By providing fast, secure connectivity, DITO aims to make time at the airport more enjoyable and productive for travelers.

Eric Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity, stated, “At DITO, we are guided by a vision of a digitally connected future for the Filipino people, supported by our 5G technology. Today, we are proud to serve millions across the country and are active participants in government, community, and cultural initiatives. Expanding our reach to important tourism hubs like Clark International Airport reflects our commitment to connectivity and accessibility, showcasing the power of partnership and innovation.”

To further enrich the passenger experience, DITO has introduced working tables with built-in charging stations, kiosk-style charging stations, and SIM vending machines throughout the airport. These amenities allow travelers to charge their devices, work efficiently, and access internet services without hassle. The SIM vending machines also provide arriving passengers with an easy way to purchase DITO SIM cards for uninterrupted connectivity from the moment they land.

As tourism and travel rebound post-pandemic, DITO is committed to supporting the growth of the industry and ensuring that Filipinos and tourists enjoy excellent connectivity. Last year, Clark International Airport welcomed 629,000 international and 140,000 domestic passengers. In 2023, passenger numbers have surged, with nearly one million recorded in the first half alone, underscoring the airport’s role as a regional transport hub and gateway to the Philippines.

DITO’s support extends beyond connectivity, reinforcing its dedication to the Philippines’ economic recovery and growth. By offering inclusive internet access, the company is helping to bridge the digital divide and contribute to the country’s advancement. “As we look to the future, DITO remains committed to uplifting our nation by empowering Filipinos through connectivity,” Alberto added. “We’re excited to embark on this journey and work together to create a brighter, digitally connected future for everyone.”
