CINEPROD + PHOTO EXPO 2027 Opens New Doors for Filipino Creatives

The Philippine film, photography, and digital media industries are preparing for a major gathering as CINEPROD + PHOTO EXPO 2027 makes its debut on July 9–11, 2027, at the newly developed SMXCITE in the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

Officially unveiled during a media launch at The Shooting Gallery Studio in Makati City, the exhibition promises to bring together filmmakers, photographers, production professionals, students, and technology innovators under one roof.

Organized by Global-Link MP Events International, Inc., presented by CMB Film Services, and co-presented by JG Superstore, MQ Lighting, and Solid Video Corp., the three-day event aims to strengthen the country’s creative industry through education, collaboration, and technological advancement.

More than an equipment showcase, CINEPROD + PHOTO EXPO 2027 is envisioned as a platform where aspiring storytellers can learn directly from industry veterans, explore professional opportunities, and discover innovations transforming visual production.

During the launch, CMB Film Services’ Jim Baltazar emphasized mentorship and industry development, while Kirk Baltazar introduced the exhibition’s vision of nurturing emerging Filipino creative talent.

The event also highlights the Philippines’ potential as an international filmmaking destination. Through its tourism-focused initiative, “The Philippines Through the Lens,” organizers aim to showcase the country’s landscapes, cultural heritage, and diverse filming locations while encouraging partnerships with international production companies.

Film Academy of the Philippines Director General Paolo Villaluna discussed opportunities for professional development, while American Society of Cinematographers representative Saul Molina brought an international perspective on creative collaboration and knowledge exchange.

A panel discussion co-moderated by Villaluna and actress Iza Calzado explored emerging production technologies, evolving audience demands, and the importance of strengthening opportunities for Filipino filmmakers and content creators.

Visitors can expect demonstrations of cinema cameras, professional lighting systems, audio equipment, and post-production technologies. Film screenings, interactive installations, technical workshops, masterclasses, and networking activities will further enrich the exhibition experience.

SMXCITE Manila’s Walid Wafik introduced the 7,500-square-meter exhibition venue, revealing that 80 percent of the available exhibition space had already been occupied.

Global-Link MP Events International CEO Patrick-Lawrence Tan said additional announcements covering exhibitors, educational programs, and visitor information will follow as preparations continue.

With its combination of creativity, innovation, and industry collaboration, CINEPROD + PHOTO EXPO 2027 seeks to provide Filipino visual storytellers with greater access to the tools, connections, and opportunities needed to bring their stories to audiences worldwide.
