Celebrate JK and RM’s Birthdays with SM this September

September is a special month for BTS fans all over the world because two of the group’s members are celebrating their birthdays. The “Golden Maknae” Jeon Jung-kook (JK) is turning 24 on September 1, while BTS leader Kim Nam-joon (RM) is turning 27 on September 12.

In a letter to fans, JK once said, “Rather than sending us gifts, how about sending one to yourself? Have you ever given yourself a gift? We’re already so happy with just having ARMY.”

You heard it straight from the birthday boy—instead of buying gifts for them, they’d much rather see you buy a gift for yourself. BTS never fails to say how thankful they are for ARMY’s love and support. And as the title of their album series says, you need to “Love Yourself” as well.

Here’s a handy list of gift ideas curated for BTS fans. Whether you get just one item for yourself or buy them all to share with family and friends, we’re sure JK and RM will approve!

Gift Idea 1: Merch from the BTS Pop-up in SM Megamall
From comfy hoodies and shirts to TinyTan dolls and stickers, the BTS Pop-up’s got it all! It’s a haven for ARMYs who want official merchandise. The store also has colorful backdrops that look like sets from BTS music videos. So grab a party hat and take some photos and videos greeting JK and RM a happy birthday!

Gift Idea 2: K-Beauty Products
You don’t need a professional makeup artist to make your skin glow like JK and RM. Just choose the right products for your skin type. Check out the SM Beauty section and stock up on makeup and skin care essentials from top Korean brands such as Leaders, Innisfree, Banila Co and more.

Gift Idea 3: ARTherapy Paint by Numbers
In 2020’s BTS In the Soop series, JK and RM wowed viewers with their talent for painting. The boys spent a quiet afternoon mixing colors and capturing the scenery on their canvas. They said painting was a very comforting activity. So if you’re in need of some healing, check out this ARTherapy kit—it already comes with a printed paint canvas, pigments, and brushes so all you need to do is color it in.

Gift Idea 4: WOW Fiesta Medley
We know the boys love to sing—both on and off the stage. Belt out a happy birthday song with this portable karaoke machine. It’s got thousands of built-in songs so you can sing your favorite tunes to your hearts’ content.
