A devastating fire recently swept through Isla Puting Bato, Tondo, Manila, leaving 8,000 residents displacedand 1,000 homes destroyed. In response, Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers, Inc. Through ProtectMax, which starts at just Php 50, CLIB provides affordable coverage that includes life insurance, accidental death benefits, and fire cash assistance. Several ProtectMax COC holders in Isla Puting Bato successfully claimed their benefits, with some receiving up to Php 50,000—a crucial financial boost for families trying to recover from their losses.

Among the recipients was Ma. Liza Tumandao, a Cebuana Lhuillier client since 2019, who received Php 50,000 in assistance. She expressed her deep appreciation, saying, “Thank you, ProtectMax and Cebuana. This is a huge help for us. I never expected this kind of support.”

Another beneficiary, Carmel Faye Almedilla, also received Php 50,000, sharing her hope that more Filipinos would see the value of insurance. “Insurance is for everyone. I encourage more people to invest in it because you never know when you’ll need it,” she said.

Jewel Gravillo, a Cebuana Lhuillier client since 2014, emphasized how the financial aid would help his family. “This assistance is a huge relief for our daily needs. Now, I can finally complete our home and even invest in a small business,” he shared.
