Canon PH Launches PhotoMarathon 2026

Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. opened 2026 by celebrating collaboration and creativity as it gathered media partners, brand ambassadors, and members of the professional creator community at its annual Thanksgiving Celebration on January 27. The event also served as the official launch of Canon PhotoMarathon 2026, signaling another year of visual storytelling and friendly competition.

First introduced in Singapore in 2003, Canon PhotoMarathon has grown into one of Asia’s most recognized photography competitions, expanding across countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Now on its 19th year locally, the competition continues to challenge photographers to produce striking images under time pressure and within given themes—testing both technical skill and creative instinct.

For 2026, the PhotoMarathon broadens its scope by highlighting its video category, encouraging participants to tell stories not just through still images, but through motion, sound, and narrative. This addition reflects the evolving creator landscape, where photography and videography increasingly intersect.

The competition will take place on April 18, 2026, at the BGC Amphitheater. It is open to professionals, hybrid creators, camera club members, students, and photography enthusiasts. Several categories welcome participants using non-Canon cameras, making the event accessible to a wider creative community.

To join, participants simply need to download the Canon PH Delightful app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, create an account, head to the Events tab, select the Canon PhotoMarathon banner, and register.

Winners across categories will take home premium camera prizes. The Main Photo Category, exclusive to Canon users, offers a Canon EOS R6 Mark III with RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM. The Open Photo Category, open to all camera brands, awards a Canon EOS R8 with 24–50mm lens. For the Video Category, Canon users can win a Canon EOS R50 V, while non-Canon users compete for a Canon PowerShot V1.
