Canon Philippines is strengthening its commitment to the country’s creative community with the introduction of two new learning initiatives aimed at helping aspiring storytellers and content creators develop their skills and pursue creative careers.
The company officially unveiled the Canon Creator Camp and Canon Campus Tour during the Creator Experience Day held on July 16, 2026, in Mandaluyong City. Carrying the theme “One Canon. Many Stories.”, the event gathered photographers, filmmakers, digital artists, students, and content creators for a day of learning, hands-on experiences, and collaboration.

Designed to extend Canon’s support beyond product innovation, the two programs focus on providing practical training and opportunities for creators at different stages of their journey. The Canon Campus Tour will travel to schools and universities nationwide, allowing students to explore Canon imaging technologies through workshops, demonstrations, and interactive sessions without leaving their campuses. Meanwhile, Canon Creator Camp will serve as a community-based platform offering mentorship, educational sessions, and networking opportunities for emerging and established creators alike.
Complementing these initiatives was a showcase of Canon’s latest imaging technologies. Participants had the opportunity to test the new Canon EOS R6 V, a hybrid camera developed for both photography and video production. The camera features a 32.5-megapixel sensor, open-gate recording capabilities, and an active cooling system that supports extended recording sessions, making it suitable for professional content creation.

Canon also highlighted its PIXMA MegaTank printer lineup, demonstrating how the printers can support creative work through economical ink usage, wireless connectivity, touchscreen controls, and compatibility with mobile applications. The printers are designed for a wide range of users, from students and educators to home offices, studios, and small businesses.
Adding inspiration to the event were talks from Filipino creatives who shared their experiences in their respective fields. Filmmakers Karl Patacsil and Magic Liwanag discussed visual storytelling and filmmaking using Canon cameras, while television host and educator Nicole Shane Gonzales and digital illustrator James “Squeegool” Claridades talked about how Canon printing solutions complement their creative workflow.

Guests also participated in fireside chats, networking sessions, interactive product demonstrations, and raffle activities, creating opportunities for collaboration among members of the local creator community.
With the launch of Canon Creator Camp and the Canon Campus Tour, Canon Philippines is expanding its efforts to nurture Filipino talent by making creative education, professional tools, and industry connections more accessible. The company aims to continue empowering storytellers, students, artists, and content creators as they transform their ideas into meaningful visual stories while building a stronger creative ecosystem across the country.
