A fresh chapter in indigenous leadership unfolded in the heart of Bukidnon as the Tribal Communities Association of the Philippines (TRICAP) formally welcomed the officers of its newly established Bukidnon Chapter. Held at the BAFF-DARU grounds in Casisang, Malaybalay City, the induction carried symbolic weight: Bukidnon became the very first provincial chapter organized under TRICAP’s new national administration.

More than a ceremonial milestone, the event reflected a renewed national direction for TRICAP—one that places strong emphasis on accountable governance, the empowerment of indigenous leaders, and the sustained protection of Indigenous Peoples’ rights. By starting this new phase in Bukidnon, the organization underscored the province’s role as a foundation for its broader vision of unity and responsible leadership among tribal communities.
The Bukidnon Chapter is led by Henry S. Binahon, also known as Datu Mansalalang, who takes on the role of President. Supporting him is a diverse leadership team composed of community leaders and professionals entrusted with key responsibilities, from external affairs and finance to auditing and secretariat work. Together, they form a structure designed to balance traditional authority with professional accountability, ensuring that advocacy is both principled and effective .

The oath-taking was administered by TRICAP National President Bai Limpayen Jennifer Pua Sibug-Las, who described the Bukidnon Chapter as a benchmark for the organization’s new era. In her message, she emphasized that this first chapter represents more than organizational growth—it signals a collective commitment to integrity, inclusivity, and service.

As TRICAP moves forward under new national leadership, the Bukidnon Chapter stands as a model of how indigenous communities can organize, lead, and advocate with clarity of purpose—rooted in heritage, yet firmly oriented toward the future .
