Building Careers, Opening Doors

A young Filipino’s first step into the workforce can be the hardest—caught between academic preparation and the realities of industry expectations. Bridging that gap is the mission behind JobStart Philippines, and it is this shared commitment that recently earned Foundever Philippines recognition from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

During the DSWD Stakeholders’ Recognition held at The Great Eastern Hotel in Quezon City, Foundever Philippines received a plaque of appreciation for its role as a partner employer of the JobStart Philippines Program for 2025. The citation underscores the company’s active participation in preparing young Filipinos for meaningful employment through structured, real-world exposure.

JobStart Philippines is a government-led initiative designed to help first-time jobseekers transition smoothly from school to work. Through career coaching, life-skills training, and industry immersion, the program addresses one of the country’s most persistent challenges: the mismatch between graduate skills and actual job requirements. Foundever’s involvement allows young participants to gain hands-on experience in the customer experience (CX) sector—one of the Philippines’ most dynamic employment engines.

For Foundever Philippines, the recognition reflects more than compliance or participation; it represents a long-term investment in human capital. The company has consistently supported youth employability through initiatives such as its University and Community Partnership (UCP) programs, its in-house Language Academy, and its TESDA-recognized CX and Communications Training Level II certification. Together, these efforts create multiple entry points for young talent to build confidence, competence, and career direction.

“This recognition affirms the power of collaboration between government and industry,” said Willy Lim, Vice President for HR, Marketing, and Talent Acquisition for the Philippines, Malaysia, and China. He emphasized that youth employability is not only a social responsibility but an economic necessity—one that strengthens productivity, reduces early attrition, and builds a healthier labor ecosystem.

The DSWD event brought together employers, training institutions, and development partners that have supported JobStart and related youth programs nationwide. As competition for skilled talent intensifies, partnerships like these are increasingly seen as essential—not only for workforce readiness today, but for inclusive growth in the years ahead.

With its growing footprint in the Philippines, Foundever continues to position itself as an employer-partner that aligns business expansion with meaningful social impact—helping young Filipinos take their first confident steps from classroom to career.
