KonsultaMD is rewriting the script on HIV awareness and care in the Philippines with the launch of its HIV self-test kits—an effort rooted in privacy, compassion, and accessibility.

In partnership with Faberco Life Sciences and Southstar Drug, KonsultaMD—under Metro Pacific Health Tech—has unveiled a first-of-its-kind offering in Philippine telehealth. Now, users can order FDA-approved HIV self-test kits via the KonsultaMD app, have them delivered discreetly, and take the test in the comfort and safety of their homes.

CJ Sintoy, Head of Admin and Partnerships of LoveYourself, Inc., joins the KonsultaMD team—Dr. Carlo Toledano, Gary Dujali, and Flo Pacia—along with Miss International Queen Philippines 2025 Anne Patricia Lorenzo Diaz, in a show of support for making HIV testing more accessible, caring, and stigma-free for every Filipino.

The move comes at a critical time. With HIV cases in the Philippines rising by 500 percent in the last decade and projections estimating over half a million cases by 2030, early and stigma-free testing is more crucial than ever.

“For many, the biggest barrier to HIV testing isn’t availability—it’s fear, shame, and lack of privacy,” said Rina Tadiar, Head of Consumer at Metro Pacific Health Tech. “We want to meet people where they are, and for most, that means bringing healthcare directly to their hands, their homes, their comfort zones.”

Faberco Life Sciences, KonsultaMD by Metro Pacific Health Tech, and Southstar Drug leaders, joined by Miss International Queen Philippines 2025 Anne Patricia Lorenzo Diaz, showcase the HIV self-testing kits.

Southstar Drug General Manager Thaddeus L. Sanchez echoed this, saying, “Our partnership with KonsultaMD helps normalize testing. It’s about action without stigma—empowering people to take that first, important step.”

Ivan Gerome Bacud of Faberco Life Sciences, which holds the license for the FDA-registered Mylan HIV Self-Test Kit, emphasized the importance of innovation in health access. “This partnership is a breakthrough in public health. We’re combining technology, distribution, and medical guidance to tackle a national epidemic.”

Ordering the kit is simple: open the KonsultaMD app, tap the Pharmacy section, search for “HIV self-testing kit,” and complete your purchase. Each kit comes with clear instructions, and should users need guidance or support, KonsultaMD offers online consultations with doctors trained in HIV awareness and motivational counseling. Access to preventive treatments like PrEP is also available.

Through this initiative, KonsultaMD is championing a future where every Filipino can take control of their sexual health—without fear, shame, or judgment. It’s not just a test kit; it’s a statement that care can be private, compassionate, and within reach.

With innovation at its core and empathy at its heart, KonsultaMD is helping Filipinos take the first step—one discreet, empowering test at a time.
