SM North EDSA, in partnership with Medialink Group, is hosting the country’s first-ever pop-up activation for the popular anime series “Blue Lock”. Running from September 14 to 29 at Annex Atrium, this event offers fans a chance to immerse themselves in the high-stakes world of this soccer-themed anime.
“Blue Lock” has become a sensation in the anime community, with over 40 million manga copies sold and numerous awards to its name. The recent success of “Blue Lock: EPISODE Nagi”, which premiered across Southeast Asia, has further ignited interest in the series. The activation at SM North EDSA aims to capture this excitement and bring a wave of soccer fever to the region.
At the event, fans will be greeted by life-sized standees of iconic characters such as Seishiro Nagi, Yoichi Isagi, and more. These displays provide the perfect photo opportunities for enthusiasts who want to capture their favorite characters up close.
Alongside the visual displays, exclusive merchandise will be available, including acrylic standees, keychains, A4 folders, bags, and various other collectibles.
“Blue Lock” was first introduced to readers in 2018, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. Serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, the story follows a high-stakes training program designed to find the ultimate striker for Japan’s national soccer team.
