Filipino talent took center stage at the 2nd Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) in Los Angeles, California, with BingoPlus proudly standing as a major sponsor. Held on March 7, 2025, the event celebrated the best of Philippine cinema, providing local filmmakers with a global platform to showcase their artistry.

BingoPlus, the country’s premier digital entertainment platform, has always been committed to bringing joy to audiences. By supporting MIFF, the company strengthens its mission of making entertainment more accessible while helping Filipino filmmakers gain international recognition.

BingoPlus brand ambassador Maine Mendoza Atayde shared her excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of Filipino films reaching a worldwide audience. “It’s about time for Filipinos to be known globally. We have so much to offer, and I think this is just the beginning.”

The event underscored the shared mission of BingoPlus and MIFF—to bring quality entertainment to people everywhere. Lisa Lew, four-time Emmy Award winner and MIFF founder, highlighted this synergy, stating, “We want people to enjoy life and have a good time. BingoPlus is making an effort to be part of a broader world.”

The night’s biggest winner was “Song of the Fireflies,” directed by King Palisoc, which took home the Best Picture award along with multiple acting honors. Inspired by the Loboc Children’s Choir, the film captivated audiences with its heartfelt storytelling.
Adding to the celebration, First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos was recognized with the Visionary Award for her advocacy in promoting Philippine cinema. She reiterated her support for local filmmakers, stating, “The best way to help the movie industry is to tell the world that Filipinos are good, we’re talented.”
With BingoPlus and MIFF leading the charge, Filipino cinema is making its mark on the international stage. As the industry continues to thrive, the future of Philippine filmmaking has never looked brighter.
