Recognizing the importance of keeping these frontline personnel healthy and mission-ready, the Philippine Coast Guard has entered into a landmark healthcare partnership with Bell-Kenz Pharma, Bell-Kenz Foundation, and Premiere Medical and Cardiovascular Laboratory, Inc.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening healthcare access and support not only for active Coast Guard personnel but also for veterans and their families. Through this collaboration, qualified beneficiaries will gain access to subsidized medical consultations, discounted medicines, and enhanced diagnostic services designed to improve both preventive care and long-term wellness.
The formal signing ceremony brought together key leaders from the participating organizations, including Dr. Luis Raymond T. Go, Medical Director of Bell-Kenz Pharma; Dr. James F. Cayetano, President of Bell-Kenz Foundation; Henry C. Lim, President of Premiere Medical and Cardiovascular Laboratory; Vice Admiral Allen J. Dalangin of the Philippine Coast Guard; and Rear Admiral Oliver Sy Tanseco, Coast Guard Inspector General and Internal Affairs Service and Commander of the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation.
Also present were Patrick S. Larraga, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Head of Bell-Kenz Pharma, and Reggie D. Genova, Managing Director of Bell-Kenz Foundation, underscoring the strong institutional support behind the initiative.
Beyond healthcare discounts and medical assistance, the partnership introduces programs aimed at improving medical readiness within the Coast Guard organization. Among the major contributions is the donation of a semi-automated blood chemistry analyzer that will enhance diagnostic capabilities and support faster medical assessments. Bell-Kenz Pharma is also providing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), a critical life-saving device that can significantly improve emergency response during cardiac incidents.
To further strengthen healthcare delivery within the organization, Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs will be conducted for Coast Guard medical personnel. These learning initiatives are designed to keep healthcare practitioners updated on the latest clinical knowledge, treatment approaches, and medical best practices, ensuring that frontline healthcare teams remain prepared to serve Coast Guard personnel effectively.
According to Dr. Luis Raymond T. Go, the partnership represents a significant milestone for Bell-Kenz Pharma and aligns with the company’s mission of making life better through meaningful healthcare initiatives.
He emphasized that the collaboration goes beyond providing medicines and medical equipment.
