BAVI Officially Turns 23 in Interesting Times
The COVID 19 pandemic rages on, unabated. And yet, despite the fears and anxiety that is shared by all humankind today, our cup overfloweth and we are filled with gratitude.
GRATITUDE
The Roman philosopher Cicero calls it the greatest of all virtues because, he believes, all other virtues spring from it.
Gratitude goes beyond being merely thankful for life’s blessings. It is a creative life-force, a living principle of action that celebrates action itself, as well as the sacrifices that gives it deeper meaning and value.
In the last few trying months, BAVI has become the great laboratory of gratitude at work. Your hard work, sacrifices and dedication are creating miracles in our lives as individuals, business entity, and community of kindred spirits.
We started as a small company with a big vision, and the daring to realize it.
Today, we are a P20-billion enterprise that hires thousands, the nation’s top rotisserie chain with over 1,700 retail outlets, close to 10,000 active resellers and the 2nd largest poultry integrator, and still growing fast.
We have created household brands like Bounty Fresh and Chooks-to-Go with the latter hailed as the 7th most engaging brand on Facebook across industries in the Philippines.
Our “No Antibiotic Ever” production system for chicken is making significant inroads in addressing global concern on Antimicrobial Resistance in humans as well as sustainable growth.
Our Chooks to Go Pilipinas 3×3 basketball league has just gained professional status and is now on the verge of realizing the return of Philippine basketball to the Olympics after almost half a century.
We owe all of these to our employees, past and present, and our business partners. We also owe all these to our customers who never stop believing in us, sticking faithfully with us through thick and thin.
All of you helped make BAVI what it is today and, as we mark our 23rd year, I wish to go beyond the sense of obligation attached to the idea of owing one a debt of gratitude.
Instead, I wish to emphasize the idea of voluntariness, of generosity and giving, of sharing both effort and reward in common endeavor as the collective cornerstone of the simple idea of gratitude as the defining idea of BAVI.
Borne of hard work and vision, tested through the crisis, I can now confidently say that BAVI, at 23, has truly come of age.
