ArenaPlus and BingoPlus Celebrate PBA’s Golden Era with the 50 Greatest Players

ArenaPlus and BingoPlus proudly joined the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) in commemorating its 50th anniversary during a grand celebration held on April 11, 2025, at the Solaire Grand Ballroom in Quezon City. As strong supporters of Philippine sports, the two digital entertainment giants took part in honoring basketball legends whose talent and influence have shaped the league’s history.

The event was marked by the induction of ten new players into the PBA’s elite list of the 50 Greatest Players, completing a legacy that began in 2000 with 25 honorees and expanded in 2015 with 15 more. Among the latest inductees was Scottie Thompson, widely known as “Mr. MVP,” who also serves as a proud ambassador for ArenaPlus. His remarkable 2022 MVP season and continued impact on the court earned him a spot on the prestigious list.

Scottie Thompson receives his award as one of the PBA’s 50 greatest players.

Though his inclusion drew mixed reactions online, Thompson responded with grace and humility, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect amid differing opinions. “I respect everyone’s thoughts and comments—this is a free world,” he shared.

The celebration also saw the launch of the PBA’s new campaign, Solid, symbolizing the league’s bold vision of reaching a 100-year milestone. The PBA took time to honor its humble beginnings and the nine pioneering teams that made the dream a reality five decades ago.

To add to the excitement, attendees received exclusive merchandise from BingoPlus and ArenaPlus, making the night even more memorable. As long-time partners of the PBA, both brands reaffirmed their commitment to promoting Filipino talent and supporting the league’s mission of fostering excellence in Philippine basketball. Through events like this, the legacy of Filipino athletes continues to thrive—solid and astig as ever.
