By the close of 2026, a new chapter in Southern Luzon’s retail and lifestyle landscape will take shape as SM Prime Holdings, Inc. unveils SM Nuvali in the thriving city of Santa Rosa, Laguna. Positioned as the company’s largest mall in the province, the development signals a strategic shift toward high-growth regional hubs beyond Metro Manila.
SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim describes the project as part of a broader vision, with SM Nuvali leading a pipeline of flagship malls planned annually from 2026 through 2030. The move reflects strong confidence in emerging urban centers, where rising incomes and expanding infrastructure continue to fuel demand for modern, integrated spaces.
Designed with sustainability at its core, SM Nuvali blends scale with environmental responsibility. The mall will incorporate solar energy systems, water recycling facilities, and energy-efficient lighting to support its expansive 82,000 square meters of leasable space. It will also introduce eco-friendly features such as electric vehicle charging stations, a Trash-to-Cash recycling initiative, and dedicated e-waste collection points.
Beyond retail, the development aims to mirror Nuvali’s signature balance between urban convenience and natural surroundings. Visitors can expect open-air promenades, green zones, and lifestyle areas that encourage leisure and community interaction. At the heart of the mall will be a one-hectare indoor garden, offering a climate-controlled retreat complete with play areas and a pet-friendly park.
The project extends beyond the mall itself. A direct link will connect SM Nuvali to a forthcoming hotel and convention complex, while nearby office towers are already in development, forming a cohesive mixed-use destination. Together, these elements are expected to generate jobs, attract investments, and stimulate economic activity across the region.
As SM Prime’s 91st mall, SM Nuvali represents more than expansion—it embodies a long-term commitment to shaping dynamic, future-ready communities in key provincial growth areas.
