When Typhoon Tino swept through Central Visayas, it left behind shattered routines, flooded homes, and thousands of families suddenly facing uncertainty. Yet amid the devastation, a powerful wave of compassion rose just as swiftly. PNB Holdings Corporation (PHC) and Asia Brewery Inc., through the Philippine Red Cross, launched an urgent relief initiative to deliver clean drinking water to communities struggling to recover.
Under Project Solicitude—PHC’s flagship program for crisis response—the two companies immediately deployed truckloads of Absolute Pure Distilled Drinking Water to evacuation centers in Talisay City. Families seeking shelter at Dumlog Elementary School and the Dumlog Sports Complex were among the first to receive 6-liter bottles of Absolute water, a vital necessity in the aftermath of widespread flooding and disrupted utilities.

But the mission doesn’t end there. In the coming days, relief teams will extend support to residents in Liloan and Consolacion, pairing bottled water with additional essentials provided by the Philippine Red Cross. Each distribution is not merely an act of giving but a pledge of solidarity—proof that communities are never alone in times of crisis.
For Joselito R. Consunji, Chief Operating Officer of PNB Holdings Corporation, the initiative reflects a shared responsibility anchored in empathy. “We are deeply moved by the resilience of the affected families and grateful to our partners for enabling swift action. This is a testament to our shared commitment to uplift communities in their most vulnerable moments,” he shared.
As proud members of the Lucio Tan Group, both PHC and Asia Brewery continue to embody a legacy of service—showing that real corporate citizenship is measured not by words, but by meaningful action that restores dignity, hope, and strength to those who need it most.
