PayJoy, Kservico Expand Smartphone Access for Filipinos

As smartphones become increasingly important for work, education, business, and communication, PayJoy Philippines and Kservico have joined forces to provide more Filipinos with accessible options for smartphone ownership.

The companies formalized their commercial partnership at PayJoy’s main office in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, combining PayJoy’s technology-enabled financing platform with Kservico’s extensive retail network.

Through the partnership, customers purchasing eligible smartphones at participating Kservico branches may apply for PayJoy financing as part of their in-store transaction. The initiative is designed to give consumers another payment option while expanding access to devices that have become essential to everyday life.

“Together, we hope to create even more opportunities for communities across the country,” said Joseph Lim, Country Manager of PayJoy Philippines. He noted that Kservico’s long-standing commitment to making quality products accessible to Filipino families closely aligns with PayJoy’s mission.

Smartphones now serve purposes far beyond communication. For many Filipinos, they provide access to online classes, employment opportunities, digital financial services, small-business platforms, and connections with family and friends.

Grace Balingit, President of Kservico, said the collaboration had been two years in the making. “Together with PayJoy, we hope to help more Filipinos access the dream smartphones they need while reaching even more communities in far-flung areas through accessible financing options,” she said.

Founded in 1971, Kservico operates nearly 170 branches across Metro Manila and Luzon, offering motorcycles, appliances, mobile phones, laptops, furniture, and other consumer products. Its affiliate, EMCOR, extends the group’s retail presence into the Visayas and Mindanao.

PayJoy, meanwhile, operates in nine countries and serves more than 20 million customers through technology-driven consumer financing solutions.

By combining financing technology with an established physical retail network, the partnership seeks to bring smartphone ownership within reach of more communities and help Filipinos participate more actively in the country’s growing digital and financial economy.
