Transport partners who spend long hours on the road were given an opportunity to prioritize their health during the SM Foundation Health and Wellness Caravan held at SM North EDSA last July.
The initiative provided drivers and other local transport partners with free medical check-ups and essential medicines, giving them access to basic healthcare services while recognizing their important role in keeping people and communities moving every day.

For many transport workers, demanding schedules and daily responsibilities can make regular health consultations difficult. Through the wellness escaravan, participants were able to temporarily step away from the driver’s seat and receive medical attention conveniently within their community.
The activity forms part of SM Foundation’s broader efforts to make quality healthcare more accessible to Filipinos, particularly individuals and communities who may face challenges in obtaining regular medical services.
In July 2026 alone, SM Foundation’s medical missions across the Philippines served more than 11,500 beneficiaries. These initiatives brought healthcare services and medicines closer to communities in different parts of the country.

Through its continuing health and wellness programs, SM Foundation aims to support healthier communities by providing accessible medical assistance to those who need it, including transport partners whose daily work helps millions of Filipinos reach their destinations.
