Golfers looking to improve their game now have a new tool designed to make every shot more accurate and every decision more informed. Garmin has introduced the new Approach Z10, a compact laser rangefinder that combines precision distance measurement with smart connectivity, helping players navigate the course with greater confidence.
Designed for convenience and performance, the Approach Z10 delivers accurate measurements to the pin from distances of up to 350 yards while offering six-times magnification for a clear view of targets. Despite its advanced capabilities, the device remains remarkably lightweight, weighing less than seven ounces and featuring a compact design smaller than most modern smartphones.
What sets the Approach Z10 apart is its ability to work seamlessly with compatible Garmin golf devices. Through Garmin’s Range Relay technology, golfers can instantly send measured distances from the rangefinder to a compatible smartwatch, handheld device, or the Garmin Golf mobile application. Once a target is locked, players gain access to a laser range arc that displays important course information, including distances to the front and back portions of the green and a clearer understanding of the pin’s location.
According to Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing, the integration between the Approach Z10 and Garmin’s golf ecosystem helps players gain more accurate insights when choosing clubs and planning shots. She emphasized that precise distance information can significantly influence decision-making throughout a round.
The Approach Z10 is packed with features designed to support golfers from tee to green. A vibration alert confirms when the target has been successfully locked, while dynamic distance technology automatically updates measurements as players move closer to their target. This eliminates the need to repeatedly range the same location before every shot.
For golfers who frequently play on courses with changing elevations, the PlaysLike Distance feature provides adjusted yardages that account for uphill and downhill terrain. This allows players to better estimate how far a shot should actually play under varying course conditions.
Competitive players will also appreciate the built-in Tournament Mode. An external indicator light clearly signals that only tournament-legal distance information is being used, ensuring compliance with competition rules.
Practicality was also a major consideration in the device’s design. A magnetic mount makes it easy to store the rangefinder on a golf cart, while the Find My Rangefinder feature allows users to locate the device’s last known position through the Garmin Golf app if it is accidentally misplaced. Power concerns are minimized as well, with a battery capable of lasting up to a year before requiring replacement.
Beyond the hardware itself, Garmin continues to enhance the golfing experience through its Garmin Golf membership program. Subscribers gain access to Green Contour Data on select courses, allowing them to study green slopes, predict ball roll behavior, and make more strategic putting decisions. Members can also utilize detailed aerial course imagery available across more than 43,000 golf courses worldwide.
The Garmin Approach Z10 is scheduled to arrive in the Philippines on July 7, 2026, with a suggested retail price of PHP 18,290. With its blend of laser accuracy, intelligent connectivity, and golfer-focused features, Garmin’s latest rangefinder aims to help players approach every round with greater precision, confidence, and control.
