The second quarter of the year has turned into a powerful showcase of women-led entertainment at SM Mall of Asia Arena, where music, performance, and pageantry drew thousands of fans from across the country. From global K-pop sensations and iconic Filipino performers to the nation’s biggest beauty competition, the venue became a gathering place for audiences celebrating talent, confidence, and star power led by women.

One of the biggest highlights came from South Korean girl group IVE, which returned to the arena on April 25 for another high-energy concert attended by thousands of Filipino fans known as DIVE. The group delivered crowd favorites including “I AM,” “Baddie,” and “Rebel Heart,” accompanied by synchronized choreography and dynamic stage production. Beyond their group performances, individual solo stages allowed each member to showcase her own style and artistry, creating a more personal connection with the audience. Compared to their previous Manila appearance in 2024, the latest concert reflected the group’s growing popularity in the Philippines, with fans filling the venue in even greater numbers.

Meanwhile, Filipino pop culture icons SexBomb Girls brought nostalgia and entertainment together during the final leg of their five-day concert run on April 30. The performance transformed the arena into a celebration of OPM novelty music, complete with large-scale production numbers, colorful themed segments, and surprise guest appearances from Stell, Apl.de.Ap, and Wendell Ramos. The show attracted audiences from different generations, proving the enduring appeal of the group that became a household name in the early 2000s.

Just days later, the spotlight shifted from music to pageantry as the venue hosted the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2026 on May 2. Fifty candidates from different provinces and cities competed for the national crown in a production that combined glamour, performance, and national pride. Representing La Union, Bea Millan-Windorski emerged victorious, earning the opportunity to represent the Philippines on the international stage.
With concerts, pageants, and cultural productions continuously filling its calendar, SM MOA Arena remains one of the country’s leading venues for large-scale entertainment. More than simply hosting events, the arena has become a stage where women continue to lead conversations in music, performance, and popular culture.
