Love in Bloom at Regent Hong Kong

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Regent Hong Kong invites couples and dreamers alike into a world where love is not only felt—but seen, touched, and tasted. From 9 to 15 February, The Lobby Lounge transforms into a romantic stage for “The Journey of Love” Afternoon Tea, featuring a stunning sculptural tea stand called “The Blooming Swans,” created by Hong Kong copper artists COXPER in collaboration with Executive Pastry Chef Andy Yeung and Sous Chef Chase Tse.

More than a serving stand, “The Blooming Swans” is a love story shaped in copper. Framed by sweeping views of Victoria Harbour, the sculpture rises like two graceful swans meeting in devotion. Their curved necks lift three tiers that represent the stages of love—Anticipation, Growth, and Fulfilment. Leaf and feather patterns echo nature’s rhythm, while soft tones of rose, amber, and gold glow with warmth. At the heart of the piece rests a tiny stamen-shaped detail, symbolizing love growing into family and legacy.

The sculpture was handcrafted by real-life couple Nathan Wong and Hazel Lee of COXPER, whose own relationship inspired its design. Their belief that love is built through patience, growth, and shared purpose is reflected in every curve of copper. Working alongside them, Chefs Andy Yeung and Chase Tse translated this same philosophy into pastry—where precision, layering, and emotion come together in edible form.

Each dessert mirrors a stage of love. Vanilla Flower represents anticipation: gentle vanilla mousse, soft madeleine sponge, and a hidden caramel center, like a secret just beginning to awaken. Hiniko Rose captures love in motion, blending rose mousse, hazelnut biscuit, and raspberry compote in a vibrant, uplifting harmony. Hibiscus Pear completes the journey, offering calm maturity through poached pear, hibiscus agar, and delicate Chantilly cream—balanced, graceful, and serene.

Beyond romance, the collaboration also speaks of responsibility. “The Blooming Swans” is designed to be reused and reinvented, allowing new desserts to bloom with every season. Like love itself, it is meant to grow, renew, and endure.

At Regent Hong Kong, this Valentine’s season is not just about sharing tea—it is about sharing a journey, where art and flavor meet, and where love is celebrated in every detail.
