The home improvement giant has once again secured a major international honor, earning its eighth consecutive win at the World Branding Awards, where it was recognized as Top Home Improvement Retail Brand in the Regional Award Category during the 18th edition of the prestigious event in Kuala Lumpur.
This latest recognition reinforces a journey that began years ago. MR.DIY first entered the World Branding Awards circle with three National Awards between 2018 and 2020, followed by five straight Regional Awards from 2021 to 2025. Together, these accolades reflect the brand’s sustained momentum and expanding footprint across multiple markets.
For MR.DIY Philippines CEO Roselle Marisol Andaya, the award goes beyond trophies and titles. It represents a clear affirmation of the brand’s customer-first philosophy. She emphasized that value is not defined by low prices alone, but by the overall experience customers receive—from store accessibility and product variety to innovation and service. According to Andaya, the recognition signals that MR.DIY’s approach continues to resonate strongly with shoppers across the region.
She also dedicated the achievement to the people behind the brand—both employees and customers. MR.DIY’s teams work closely with communities, ensuring that stores remain relevant, welcoming, and responsive to everyday needs. At the same time, customer trust has played a crucial role in sustaining the brand’s growth, motivating the company to continuously improve its offerings.
MR.DIY’s story began in 2005 as a modest hardware store in Malaysia. Two decades later, it has grown into Southeast Asia’s largest home improvement retailer, operating over 5,000 stores globally. Its diverse retail formats—MR.DIY, MR.TOY, and MR.DOLLAR—are now supported by teams across Asia, Europe, and Africa, including the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Turkey, Spain, Poland, and South Africa.
The World Branding Awards celebrate excellence in branding through a rigorous selection process that combines brand valuation, market research, and public voting. For the 2024–2025 cycle, more than 927 brands from 66 countries were nominated. Winners were honored at a global ceremony held at the Osaka Museum of Fine Arts in Japan.
As MR.DIY continues to expand, its eighth consecutive win stands as a powerful reminder that strong branding is built on trust, relevance, and long-term commitment to customers.
