DICT and mWell Unite for Nation’s First Digital Health Integration

A major leap in digital nation-building is underway as the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and mWell, the digital health arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), joined forces to bring healthcare directly into the government’s eGov PH App—paving the way for the country’s first national digital health integration platform.

The memorandum of understanding marks a historic step toward the Digital Philippines vision, where access to healthcare is no longer bound by geography. Through this collaboration, over 18 million eGov PH users will soon be able to consult doctors, store medical records, and access essential health services with just a few taps.

“This partnership will be foundational in providing every Filipino their right to quality care,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman, President, and CEO of MPIC and Chairman of mWell. “Together with government, we will close the healthcare gap and uplift quality of life in every community, and across every generation.”

DICT Secretary Henry R. Aguda echoed this commitment: “By integrating healthcare into the eGov PH App, we’re not just making government more digital—we’re making it more humane. Every Filipino, no matter where they are, deserves access to care.”

The signing took place at mWell’s Primary Care Facility (PCF) in Pasig—hailed as the country’s first AI-powered clinic and a showcase of mWell’s integrated technologies, from its Clinic Management System (CMS) to its Health ID and AI-enabled Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Chaye Cabal-Revilla, President and CEO of mWell and MPIC’s Chief Finance, Risk, and Sustainability Officer, described the partnership as “the convergence of technology and compassion.” She added, “This alliance ensures that healthcare becomes inclusive, secure, and dignified—whether for a mother in a remote barangay or a student seeking mental health support.”

Beyond virtual consultations and e-prescriptions, mWell’s ecosystem continues to innovate with drone medicine deliveries, BangkaHealth services for stilt-house communities in Sulu, and OnTheGo Clinic-In-A-Bag kits for far-flung areas. Together with DICT, these programs aim to close the distance between Filipinos and the healthcare they deserve.

As part of the MPIC Group, mWell champions Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, supporting the MVP Group’s Gabay Kalusugan advocacy for quality and affordable healthcare for all.
