TECNO Philippines turned SM Fairview into a massive gaming arena on August 9-10 with its POVA Gaming Fiesta, where more than 5,000 fans witnessed the launch of the POVA 7 Ultra 5G—hailed as the Philippines’ first triple-crown official gaming phone. Set against a life-sized PUBG Mobile battleground, the festival brought players into immersive zones that showcased the phone’s 120FPS gameplay, Dimensity 8350 chipset, and futuristic light-strip design, giving gamers a glimpse of what next-level performance looks like.

The POVA 7 Ultra 5G secured three major esports titles in one sweep, making it the first smartphone in the country to do so. It was named the Official Device for PUBG Mobile Challenger Leagues SEA (PMCL) 2025, the Exclusive Gaming Partner of the Philippine National Esports Team SIBOL, and the soon-to-be Official Gaming Phone for the Honor of Kings Philippine Kings League (PKL). With these recognitions, the device has become the trusted weapon of choice for both competitive athletes and aspiring gamers. “When our players defend PH glory, they’ll do it with POVA’s 120FPS precision,” said SIBOL Team Manager Jeff Victoriano, underscoring how vital speed and stability are in esports competition.

To further break barriers for Filipino gamers, TECNO partnered with DITO Telecommunity and PUBG Mobile to unveil the country’s first Prepaid Gaming SIM at the event. The TECNO x DITO x PUBG Mobile SIM offers unlimited PUBG Mobile access under select Level Up promos, giving gamers lag-free play on DITO’s fastest mobile network, as recognized by Opensignal. DITO ambassadors and P-pop group ALAMAT hyped the launch with a surprise performance, marking the collaboration as a cultural as well as technological milestone.
The festival also saw the return of actress, gamer, and cosplay star Myrtle Sarrosa as POVA’s Chief Gaming Officer. Appearing in a striking Spectral Byte PUBG Mobile-inspired cosplay, Myrtle embodied the fusion of gaming and creativity, declaring the new device as “battle jewelry” for the new generation of players. Her expanded role signals TECNO’s push to bridge the gaming and cosplay communities, reinforcing the brand’s cultural footprint.

Fans who pre-order the POVA 7 Ultra 5G, priced at ₱16,999 in Geek White and Geek Black, enjoy exclusive perks. Until August 21, buyers can get ₱1,000 off plus three freebies worth ₱1,999: a POVA wireless powerbank, a custom DITO PUBG Gaming SIM, and a special edition PUBG Mobile case card. Flexible payment options are available through Skyro and Home Credit, with 0% interest plans of up to 18 months.
The POVA Gaming Fiesta ended on a high with long queues at interactive booths where players tested the device’s hyper gaming engine and left as instant converts. With its triple-crown endorsements, strategic telco partnership, and cultural clout, the TECNO POVA 7 Ultra 5G has positioned itself not just as a smartphone, but as the driving force behind the Philippines’ rising esports dominance.
