On October 15, 2024, at Overdoughs Café in Ayala Malls Circuit, Makati, Iskaparate.com hosted an engaging press launch where media representatives and industry partners participated in an interactive demo of the platform’s online purchasing process. The demo, led by ConnectSys, Iskaparate’s ecosystem provider, allowed attendees to explore the platform’s e-commerce features, including product browsing, purchasing, and checkout, using an e-gift certificate.
The event began with a video message from Iskaparate’s founder, Joey Bermudez, who shared the platform’s origins and growth. Initially conceived to help 33 entrepreneurial mothers during the COVID-19 lockdowns, Iskaparate has since expanded to include 3,000 sellers, with a mission to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “We created Iskaparate to give entrepreneurs a way to rebuild their businesses during the pandemic,” Bermudez explained.

In addition to media representatives, the event drew industry partners curious about how the platform could transform the digital commerce landscape for MSMEs. Marissa Dames, President & COO of DTC Promos Inc., highlighted Iskaparate’s commitment to empowering small businesses: “We share the vision of fostering MSME growth.”
Iskaparate’s President & COO, Josefina Rojo-Natividad, revealed that the platform had expanded beyond B2C to B2B, offering grocery and personal care items, which she noted would give sellers greater opportunities to succeed in a competitive market.
The live demo allowed attendees to test the platform’s functionality, from product selection to payment. Iskaparate’s expansion into larger businesses and B2B markets, combined with its accessible e-commerce tools, makes it a valuable resource for vendors of all sizes. The platform’s goal remains clear: to help Filipino MSMEs thrive in the digital marketplace.
