Monde Nissin Posts Stronger Earnings as Food Businesses Deliver Growth

Monde Nissin Corporation continues to demonstrate financial resilience as its food and beverage operations delivered higher revenues and improved profitability during the first nine months of 2026.

The company reported a 16.1 percent increase in core net income attributable to shareholders, reaching ₱8.3 billion from January to September 2026. Consolidated revenues climbed 7.3 percent to ₱67.9 billion, reflecting sustained demand across its major business segments.

Reported net income also increased by 20.8 percent to ₱8.1 billion, highlighting the company’s improved overall financial performance despite continuing challenges in production costs and foreign exchange movements.

Domestic Food Business Drives Expansion

Monde Nissin’s Asia-Pacific Branded Food and Beverage (APAC BFB) division remained a major contributor to the company’s growth.

The segment generated ₱56.8 billion in net sales, representing a 6.5 percent increase from the previous year. Its Philippine operations contributed ₱53.5 billion, growing 6.7 percent during the nine-month period.

Strong performance in biscuits and strategic growth categories, supported by pricing adjustments and higher sales volumes, helped strengthen the company’s domestic business.

The third quarter also showed encouraging momentum, with Philippine sales increasing 9.7 percent compared with the preceding quarter.

Meanwhile, the division’s gross profit rose 9.6 percent to ₱20.3 billion as improved cost management and lower coconut oil prices helped offset rising packaging and palm oil expenses.

Quorn Business Shows Significant Recovery

Beyond its Philippine operations, Monde Nissin’s international protein business, which includes Quorn Foods, continued to make progress in its transformation.

The segment recorded an 11.6 percent increase in reported revenue during the first nine months, partly reflecting the depreciation of the Philippine peso.

On a constant-currency basis, revenue increased 2.2 percent, supported by stronger demand for snacking products in the United Kingdom’s retail market.

More significantly, the protein division’s gross profit surged 41.3 percent to ₱3.5 billion, while core earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) more than doubled to ₱904 million.

The business also achieved positive earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of ₱319 million, reversing a ₱79 million loss recorded during the same period last year.

The improvement reflects the company’s ongoing transformation initiatives, stronger product mix, targeted price increases, and tighter cost controls.

Higher Dividends Reflect Financial Strength

Monde Nissin also announced an increase in its cash dividend to ₱0.26 per common share, up 8.3 percent, following approval by its Board of Directors on November 3, 2026.

Shareholders on record as of November 25, 2026, will receive the dividend on December 23, 2026.

The company maintained a solid financial position, with ₱16.2 billion in cash and cash equivalents as of September 30, alongside ₱11 billion in operating cash flow generated during the nine-month period.

Building Sustainable Growth

Monde Nissin Chief Executive Officer Henry Soesanto expressed confidence in the company’s performance, particularly the continued expansion of its domestic food business and the improving profitability of its protein operations.

He emphasized that the company remains committed to disciplined execution, responsible financial management, and strategic initiatives designed to support long-term growth.

Looking ahead, Monde Nissin will continue monitoring raw material costs, foreign exchange movements, consumer demand, and global economic developments while implementing appropriate pricing and cost-management measures.

With established consumer brands such as Lucky Me!, SkyFlakes, Fita, Monde baked goods, and Quorn, the company remains focused on strengthening its market position while pursuing sustainable profitability in the Philippines and international markets.
