Manulife Philippines Celebrates Triple Victory at HR Asia Awards

Recognition highlights the company’s commitment to employee development, digital innovation, and building a future-ready workforce.

Manulife Philippines has strengthened its reputation as a people-focused employer after securing three major distinctions at the HR Asia Awards 2026, recognizing its efforts to create a workplace where employees are empowered through technology, professional growth, and continuous learning.

During the awards ceremony held in Pasay City on October 6, the international financial services provider was named one of HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2026, while also receiving the Tech Empowerment Award and People Transformation Award.

The triple recognition reflects Manulife’s approach to workplace development, combining employee engagement, digital transformation, and leadership training to prepare its workforce for changing industry demands.

The Best Companies to Work for in Asia distinction recognizes organizations demonstrating strong employee satisfaction, engagement, and positive workplace practices. Winners are evaluated through employee surveys and assessments of their human resources initiatives.

For Manulife Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Rahul Hora, the achievements demonstrate the importance of investing in both people and technology.

“Talent and technology are the twin engines of our growth strategy,” Hora said, emphasizing that innovation and capability-building contribute to a stronger, future-ready organization.

Technology Driving Workplace Transformation

Manulife’s Tech Empowerment Award recognizes its integration of innovative digital solutions, including generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), into everyday operations. These technologies help employees improve productivity, strengthen collaboration, and explore more efficient ways of serving customers.

Meanwhile, the People Transformation Award acknowledges the company’s investment in employee learning and career advancement.

Through its proprietary learning platform, Pursuit, alongside LinkedIn Learning, Manulife provides opportunities for employees to strengthen their professional capabilities. These initiatives are complemented by programs supporting workplace inclusion, employee wellness, recognition, and engagement.

Regional Recognition for Leadership Excellence

Beyond its three HR Asia awards, Manulife Philippines has also been named a finalist in two categories at the 14th Annual HR Excellence Awards Singapore 2026.

The nominations include Excellence in Leadership Development and Excellence in Total Rewards Strategy, recognizing the company’s initiatives in developing leaders and providing comprehensive employee benefits.

Manulife Philippines Chief People Officer Ardhi Siregar credited the company’s employees for making these achievements possible.

“These recognitions are a testament to our colleagues, who show up every day with curiosity, care, and commitment,” Siregar said.

As organizations increasingly embrace digital transformation, Manulife Philippines continues to demonstrate how investing in employees, strengthening leadership, and adopting emerging technologies can help build a more resilient and competitive workforce.

The latest distinctions reinforce the company’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where professional development, innovation, and employee well-being remain central to long-term success.
