October is shaping up to be a major month for Filipino music as the SM Mall of Asia Arena brings together award-winning performers, enduring OPM favorites, and some of the country’s biggest musical celebrations.
The month opens with the Filipino Music Awards 2026 on October 6, an event dedicated to recognizing excellence across the Philippine music industry. Beyond honoring artists and their achievements, the awards night will feature live performances celebrating the diversity and continuing evolution of Filipino music.

Later in the month, Regine Velasquez returns to the arena for Finale, a three-night concert on October 17, 18, and 19. The shows celebrate the music icon’s four decades in the industry, giving audiences an opportunity to revisit songs that have become part of the Filipino soundtrack through the years. Among the well-known hits associated with her career are “Dadalhin,” “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka,” and “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw.”
The OPM celebration continues with Silent Sanctuary’s Gabi ng Lambing on October 24 and 25. Marking 24 years of songs, the band will revisit fan favorites including “Kundiman,” “Ikaw Lamang,” and “Rebound.”

Adding another dimension to the concerts, Silent Sanctuary will be joined by the Manila Symphony Orchestra, bringing orchestral arrangements to the band’s familiar sound and offering longtime listeners a different way to experience its music live.
Together, the three events reflect different sides of the Philippine music scene—from industry recognition and the enduring career of one of the country’s most prominent singers to a band whose songs have connected with generations of OPM listeners.
With Filipino artists occupying the arena throughout October, the SM Mall of Asia Arena becomes more than a concert venue for the month. It serves as a gathering place where audiences can celebrate the artists, songs, and musical memories that continue to shape OPM.
