As more Filipinos explore opportunities in the stock market, Unicapital Securities, Inc. (USI) is strengthening its push to make investing more accessible by combining financial education with professionally managed investment solutions.
Following the introduction of its automated UTrade WealthBasket platform, the securities brokerage firm is conducting market education sessions designed to equip retail investors with practical knowledge as they prepare for the final quarter of 2026.
The initiative reflects a broader approach to investor participation: giving clients not only access to investment products but also a better understanding of how markets, companies, and portfolios work.
On September 15, USI held “Techni Talks: Latest Trends and Insights,” an exclusive session for UTrade clients and users led by technical analyst Cristopher “Kiko” San Pedro. The discussion covered technical market reviews, Philippine Stock Exchange index stock watchlists, and trading strategies amid changing market conditions.
The education campaign continues on September 23 with “Investor’s Toolkit: How to Pick Winning Stocks,” a free public masterclass scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The webinar will introduce participants to fundamental and technical analysis, including approaches to evaluating company valuations, identifying market trends, and assessing potential growth stocks.
Complementing these educational programs is UTrade WealthBasket, which gives investors access to portfolios assembled and actively managed by USI’s Research Team.
Each WealthBasket can contain up to 15 selected stocks. The portfolios undergo semi-annual reviews and rebalancing to maintain their investment objectives and respond to changing market conditions.
Among its initial offerings is Steady-Divs, a portfolio focused on quality, high-yield stocks screened according to liquidity, dividend history, and financial strength. With a minimum investment of ₱150,000, the basket is designed for investors seeking potential dividend income while managing portfolio volatility.

WealthBasket was created to help more Filipinos take that first step by providing access to professionally managed portfolios that are guided by research and long-term investing principles,” said Peter Louise Garnace, Equity Research Analyst at Unicapital Securities.
