Globe is giving parents a new way to manage their children’s growing connectivity needs with the introduction of GPlan Junior, a postpaid service designed for dependents aged 7 to 20.
As young people increasingly rely on the internet for school, communication, entertainment, gaming, and other daily activities, families face the challenge of keeping them connected while maintaining appropriate supervision. GPlan Junior addresses this by placing a child’s mobile line under a parent or legal guardian’s existing Globe Postpaid account.
Available as an additional line for subscribers with Globe Postpaid Plan 999 and above, GPlan Junior costs Php499 per month. The plan includes unlimited calls and texts, 100 minutes of landline calls, and 10GB of all-access data. Subscribers also receive free access to Messenger Kids and Mobile Legends, along with unlimited access to three selected applications.
Families can choose one app from each category. Video choices include YouTube Kids, Netflix, Disney+, or Viu, while social messaging options include Viber or WhatsApp. For gaming and communication, subscribers may select PUBG, Call of Duty, Discord, or Roblox.
The service is designed to reduce the need for parents to regularly reload prepaid accounts or monitor expiring promotions. By incorporating a dependent’s line into the family’s postpaid account, parents can better anticipate monthly connectivity expenses while helping ensure their children remain connected when necessary.
Through the GlobeOne app, parents can monitor data consumption, check remaining allocations, select unlimited apps, and manage preferred Data Swap options. This provides greater visibility over mobile usage while giving young users an opportunity to develop more responsible digital habits.
“As children become more connected, parents are looking for solutions that keep up with their family’s evolving needs,” said Jo Anne Illescas-Pique, Senior Director for Globe Postpaid. She said GPlan Junior aims to balance children’s freedom to stay connected with parents’ need for a simple and reliable way to oversee their postpaid experience.
Globe is also extending the initiative to digital financial literacy through GCash Jr. Eligible GPlan Junior subscribers who successfully register for GCash Jr. may receive up to Php500 worth of GCash vouchers.
The program gives parents another opportunity to introduce younger family members to responsible money management, including learning how to spend and save while using digital financial tools under appropriate guidance.
Parents or legal guardians who want to apply for GPlan Junior may visit a Globe Store and present proof of eligibility, including the dependent’s PSA Birth Certificate and a valid identification document such as a school ID or passport.
Through GPlan Junior, Globe aims to provide families with a more manageable approach to connectivity while encouraging young Filipinos to develop responsible digital and financial habits as they become increasingly active online.
