The latest batch adds to the growing number of young Filipinos who have benefited from the scholarship initiative over the years. Designed to support deserving students from different parts of the country, the program provides educational assistance that allows scholars to focus on their studies and work toward achieving their academic and career goals. For many recipients, the scholarship serves as a gateway to opportunities that may have otherwise remained out of reach.

Founded on the vision of the late Henry Sy Sr., the scholarship program was created to help address barriers to education and provide students with a pathway toward a better future. Beyond financial support, scholars are given access to development programs that help strengthen leadership skills, personal values, and professional readiness. The initiative aims to prepare students not only for graduation but also for meaningful contributions to society.

In support of the SM Foundation’s College Scholarship Program, ten outstanding STEM students have been named scholars for the 2026–2027 academic year. Their scholarships are sponsored by Mastercard through The SM Store’s Shop & Share program.

During the ceremony, scholars participated in interactive activities and discussions focused on personal growth and resilience. The session encouraged students to reflect on the challenges they may encounter during their academic journey and future careers. Through shared experiences and practical insights, they were reminded of the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and maintaining a clear sense of purpose.

Since its launch, the SM College Scholarship Program has supported 7,376 scholars nationwide and has produced 4,640 graduates. Many of these graduates have gone on to establish successful careers, helping improve the lives of their families while contributing to their communities.
