The Philippine healthcare sector recently welcomed a new innovation in oxygen-based therapy and recovery as Mursmedic Philippines officially introduced Bargën Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), the first hyperbaric oxygen therapy system manufactured in Indonesia.

The launch event, held at The Westin Manila, gathered healthcare professionals, hospital executives, wellness practitioners, government representatives, distributors, and healthcare investors eager to learn about a technology that is gaining attention worldwide for its potential role in rehabilitation, recovery, and wellness support.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a medical treatment that allows individuals to breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. By increasing oxygen delivery throughout the body, HBOT is designed to support tissue repair, improve circulation, stimulate cellular recovery, and aid various therapeutic and rehabilitation programs.

The Philippine introduction of Bargën reflects the growing collaboration between Indonesia and the Philippines in advancing healthcare innovation. The event was attended by representatives from the Indonesian government, including officials from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, underscoring the importance of regional partnerships in medical technology development.

Opening the event was Dr. Randy H. Teguh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mursmedic Group, who highlighted the company’s vision of making advanced healthcare solutions more accessible across Southeast Asia.

Among the innovations showcased were Bargën’s Monoplace HBOT Chamber, designed for one to two patients, the Multiplace HBOT Chamber that features a dedicated emergency compartment allowing safe patient exit without interrupting treatment for others, and an Animal HBOT Chamber developed for veterinary medicine and research applications. Together, these systems demonstrate the broad potential of hyperbaric oxygen therapy across medical, wellness, rehabilitation, and research settings.

The program was structured around three key experiences: Discover, Explore, and Experience.

During the Discover segment, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Guritno Suryokusumo, one of Indonesia’s leading authorities in hyperbaric and underwater medicine, presented the scientific principles behind HBOT. He introduced the Guritno Adaptation System, a framework that helps healthcare professionals better understand treatment parameters and optimize therapy outcomes through evidence-based approaches.

The Explore session focused on practical applications of hyperbaric technology. Industry leaders discussed how HBOT can be integrated into hospitals, rehabilitation centers, wellness facilities, and future healthcare ecosystems, highlighting opportunities for broader adoption across different sectors.

Meanwhile, the Experience segment allowed guests to interact with immersive displays, including a 3D showcase of the HBOT system, chamber replicas, and exhibits from Indonesian healthcare technology partners specializing in medical devices, telehealth solutions, consumables, and electromedical innovations.

Representatives from major healthcare institutions, including hospitals, medical associations, and wound care organizations, attended the event, reflecting strong interest in the technology’s potential role in patient care and recovery programs.

Financial institutions also explored ways to support healthcare providers interested in adopting advanced medical technologies. This signals a growing recognition that innovation, accessibility, and collaboration will play increasingly important roles in shaping the future of healthcare delivery in the Philippines.

As interest in regenerative medicine and recovery-focused healthcare continues to grow, Bargën’s arrival introduces another option for healthcare providers seeking innovative solutions that support healing, rehabilitation, and overall wellness.
