Manulife Philippines Appoints Manish Sangal as Deputy CEO

Manulife Philippines is reinforcing its leadership direction with the appointment of Manish Sangal as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, signaling the company’s continued focus on growth, innovation, and customer-driven transformation in the Philippine insurance market.

Sangal joins the executive committee and will work closely with Rahul Hora as the company accelerates key business initiatives centered on technology, digitalization, and customer engagement.

Before his appointment, Sangal served as Chief Agency Officer of Manulife Vietnam, where he spent the last three years driving consistent growth while building a highly engaged and high-performing organization. His leadership in agency development and operational transformation positioned him as one of the company’s key executives within the region.

According to Hora, Sangal’s experience and leadership style align with Manulife Philippines’ long-term ambitions of strengthening its market presence and delivering greater value to both customers and distribution partners.

As Deputy CEO, Sangal will oversee strategic transformation initiatives across the organization, including advancements in artificial intelligence, digital customer journeys, expanded Corporate Solutions offerings, and modernization of the agency business. The role is expected to play a critical part in enhancing operational capabilities while making insurance solutions more accessible and relevant to Filipino families.

Sangal said he looks forward to working with the Philippine team and building on the company’s long-standing relationship with Filipino customers. He emphasized the importance of combining data, digital innovation, and AI-driven solutions to improve customer experiences while expanding access to health and life protection products.
