Tagaytay welcomes a vibrant new player in hospitality as Approche Hospitality Management (AHM) officially opens The Strype Hotel Tagaytay — its first lifestyle property that merges affordable luxury, modern design, and a strong social spirit.

More than just a new hotel, The Strype marks a milestone for AHM’s vision of building homegrown brands that reflect its values of creativity, connection, and contemporary comfort. “We’ve always dreamed of creating a brand that speaks our language — fun, stylish, and Filipino in spirit,” said Chris Guballa, AHM Managing Director. “The Strype is our answer to travelers who want quality experiences without losing the warmth of community.”

The Strype’s name and identity draw inspiration from the evolution of the “stripe” — once rebellious, now timeless — symbolizing the hotel’s balance between youthful energy and refined taste. Its interiors feature clean, modern lines accented with playful tones of blue and yellow, representing trust, relaxation, warmth, and optimism. The hotel’s communal spaces are designed to encourage connection, making it ideal for digital nomads, creatives, and weekend explorers seeking both style and substance.

A highlight of the property is Cantina Mexa, the in-house Filipino-Mexican restaurant helmed by Chef Noy, where dishes burst with color, flavor, and cultural flair. Designed for sharing, it embodies The Strype’s belief that dining is best enjoyed together — a celebration of friendship and flavor.

As AHM’s flagship under its new brand, The Strype Hotel Tagaytay aims to set the tone for a new wave of social hospitality — where good design meets meaningful experience. “This is just the beginning,” Guballa shared. “We’re not only opening a hotel — we’re opening doors to new memories, new stories, and new connections.”
