Bicol Brilliance Takes the Spotlight at OKB Regional Trade Fair in Alabang

From the fiery kitchens of Naga to the creative studios of Sorsogon, the very essence of Bicolano talent is journeying north to shine on the national stage. The Orgullo Kan Bicol (OKB) Regional Trade Fair 2025, happening from October 15 to 19 at Festival Mall, Alabang, promises a vibrant showcase of flavor, artistry, and entrepreneurial spirit — all proudly made in Bicol.

Now celebrating its 33rd year, the OKB Trade Fair stands as a living testament to how tradition and innovation can thrive side by side. It gathers 100 of the region’s most exceptional micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) — each one a story of passion, perseverance, and local pride.

A Celebration of Bicol’s Best

Visitors can explore a treasure trove of authentic Bicolano creations — from pottery, abaca crafts, and handwoven textiles to coconut-based products, pili nut delicacies, cacao tablea, and marine goods. Even pets aren’t left out, with locally made treats and accessories inspired by sustainable materials.

Among this year’s featured exhibitors are long-time favorites and promising newcomers:

  • Berton Pilinut Candies & Pastries with their signature sweet confections,
  • Golden Mama and its bottled laing and Bicol Express,
  • HGQ Handicrafts with raffia and abaca home décor,
  • Moico’s Bicol Tablea, offering authentic cacao blends, and
  • Sorsogon Creative Industry Organization, bringing art, sculpture, and photo prints that reflect Bicol’s creative heartbeat.

Beyond commerce, OKB also celebrates the creative soul of Bicol, with artists and designers unveiling works that tell stories of heritage, resilience, and hope.

Empowering Local Entrepreneurs

For DTI Region 5 Regional Director Dindo G. Nabol, the OKB Fair remains more than a marketplace — it’s a launchpad for dreams.

“OKB continues to be a platform where our local entrepreneurs can proudly present what Bicol has to offer to national and global markets,” Nabol said. “Through this event, we reaffirm our commitment to helping MSMEs grow by connecting them with new opportunities and strengthening their capabilities.”

Erika Pereña, President of the OKB Association and owner of C.O.P. Pili Sweets and Pastries, adds that each product is deeply personal.

“Every item you’ll find at OKB carries a piece of Bicol — its people, culture, and passion. We’re excited to bring our entrepreneurs to Alabang and share our homegrown talents with an audience that values authenticity and craftsmanship.”

Logistics That Keep Dreams Moving

Supporting this vision behind the scenes is FAST Logistics Group, the Philippines’ leading end-to-end supply chain provider. As this year’s official logistics partner, FAST ensures that every handcrafted piece and delicacy from the region arrives in Alabang safely and on time.

“FAST is honored to be a trusted logistics partner of Bicol MSMEs,” said Manuel L. Onrejas Jr., CEO for Logistics. “Our mission has always been to move Filipino businesses forward, and that includes empowering local producers to reach broader markets.”

Onrejas emphasized that logistics is not just about transport — it’s about enabling opportunity.

“We want to make logistics an enabler of growth, helping Filipino entrepreneurs connect and compete with confidence.”

The OKB Regional Trade Fair 2025 isn’t just an event — it’s a celebration of Bicol’s boundless creativity and the enduring power of Filipino enterprise.
