Scratch Sessions Serve Bold Flavors with GOMO’s UNSTPPBL Spirit

For GOMO, life isn’t just about data—it’s about experiences that break limits and spark creativity. Staying true to its UNSTPPBL mantra, the digital telco has cooked up a collaboration that goes beyond connectivity: the first-ever Scratch Session with Scratch Smashburgers. More than a foodie event, it’s a mash-up of flavors, culture, and fearless ideas that inspire subscribers to live without boundaries.

The debut session last August 20 was headlined by culinary risk-takers Stephen Duhesem of Automat and Metiz and Mikko Reyes, executive chef of Scratch Smashburgers. The two powerhouses joined forces to reimagine comfort food, giving the beloved burger-and-fries combo a daring Filipino twist. Their creations captured GOMO’s brand of fun—unexpected, bold, and always ready to surprise.

On the table was the show-stealing Double MetCheeze, a double smash burger layered with bagoong chili mayo, mostaza, and a punchy fermented pineapple glaze. Equally inventive was Twirly Spaghetti Fries, a nostalgic nod to banana ketchup spaghetti, reimagined over crispy fries with Malabon longganisa, Gouda, fermented red onions, and a splash of samjang mayo. These dishes weren’t just about taste—they were about attitude.

Exclusivity made the experience even more special. Instead of cash, GOMO subscribers redeemed these dishes with their data. A tap on the app and a few ‘Mo Creds unlocked the chance to enjoy limited-time creations—15GB for one dish or 25GB for both. For foodies and digital natives alike, it was proof that data could be more than connectivity; it could be currency for culture.

“Scratch Sessions is how we turn our No Expiry Data into something you can actually savor,” said Dom Brucal, Head of GOMO PH. “It’s more than food—it’s about creating moments that stick, and that’s what being UNSTPPBL is all about.”

But this is just the start. GOMO and Scratch plan to roll out more sessions, mixing chefs, artists, and other creatives in collaborations designed to surprise and delight. Each edition will carry the same mission: push limits, play with possibilities, and celebrate the fun in the unexpected.

For Chefs Duhesem and Reyes, the partnership was a playground. “We wanted to explore local ingredients in ways that surprise people,” Duhesem said. Reyes added, “At Scratch, we thrive on big flavors. With GOMO, we had the freedom to take that to the extreme.”

With #ScratchSessions and #WeDontStop buzzing on social media, GOMO has proven once again that it’s more than a telco. It’s a cultural catalyst, fueling fearless choices—whether in data, dining, or daily life.
