Hotel Sogo Ignites Stage with ₱100K Nationwide Dance Revolution

Hotel Sogo is turning up the beat for 2025 with the launch of SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION, a nationwide group dance competition that celebrates Filipino energy, unity, and creativity. Open to dance crews of four to eight members aged 18 and above, the contest offers over ₱100,000 in cash and staycation prizes, making it one of the hotel’s biggest and most exciting campaigns of the year.

According to Hotel Sogo Marketing Manager Sue Geminiano, the competition is more than just entertainment—it’s a stage for Filipino talent to shine. “We want to highlight the real dance talent of the Filipino people—those who bring energy, rhythm, and positive spirit wherever they go,” she said. “This contest allows groups to bond, express themselves, and win big while doing something they love.”

A Digital-First Challenge

To join, participating groups must create a 30–60 second original dance video that is fun, family-friendly, and bursting with creativity. Entries should be uploaded on TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram, with the official hashtags #SogoDanceRevolution #HotelSogo #SogoDanceShowdown, tagging @hotelsogo, and set to public. All members must follow Hotel Sogo’s social media pages and register via the official online form or QR code available at Hotel Sogo branches nationwide.

The deadline for submissions is September 5, 2025.

Road to the Grand Finals

Entries will be judged on four criteria: Dance Skills & Choreography (40%), Social Media Engagement (30%), Creativity & Overall Look (20%), and Confidence & Energy (10%). Top-performing groups will advance to the Grand Finals, where they will battle live before celebrity judges and an energetic crowd.

At stake are cash prizes, the championship title, and the chance to become an official Hotel Sogo ambassador. A Special Award for Most Engaged Group will also be given to the crew with the strongest social media support.

Dance, Community, and Pride

Beyond competition, the SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION is a movement of community building and cultural pride. Known for its “So Clean, So Good” brand promise, Hotel Sogo continues to champion initiatives that go beyond hospitality. “We’ve always believed in creating opportunities that are fun, meaningful, and community-driven,” added Geminiano. “This embodies our commitment to give ordinary Filipinos extraordinary moments.”

Finalists will be revealed on Hotel Sogo’s social media pages, with the Grand Finals showdown happening later this year at a special venue.
