Taiwan Visa-Free Travel for Filipinos Renewed, New Campaign Sparks Excitement

Good news for Filipino travelers: Taiwan has officially extended its visa-free entry policy for Philippine passport holders until July 31, 2026, making spontaneous trips to the island easier than ever. To celebrate, the Taiwan Tourism Administration is rolling out its most ambitious promotion yet, sending a 50-member delegation from 25 travel organizations to the Philippines from July 11 to 13 to join the Travel Madness Expo (TME) 2025 in Manila.

The numbers speak volumes about Filipinos’ growing love for Taiwan. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, Taiwan welcomed over 146,000 Filipino visitors—a 29% increase compared to pre-pandemic figures. The Philippines has become Taiwan’s fastest-growing tourism market globally and the top source of visitors from Southeast Asia. In 2024, a record-breaking 467,000 Filipino tourists traveled to Taiwan, drawn by its vibrant cities, delicious street food, scenic landscapes, and famously efficient high-speed rail.

At this year’s TME, Taiwan is unveiling a vibrant “Taiwan Pavilion” under its Tourism Brand 3.0 campaign, “Taiwan – Waves of Wonder.” The pavilion will whisk visitors through Taiwan’s four seasons, spotlighting social media-worthy attractions like Taipei 101, the colorful Rainbow Village in Taichung, the spectacular Taiwan International Balloon Festival in Taitung, and the rejuvenating hot springs of Green Island. It’s an invitation to explore Taiwan’s rich tapestry of culture, cuisine, and natural beauty—all just a short flight away.

Adding to the buzz, two top Filipino content creators—Carl Chuidian of The Chui Show and travel vlogger Mommy Haidee—will share personal stories, travel tips, and local food adventures, inspiring more Filipinos to choose Taiwan as their next holiday destination.

Beyond Manila, the Taiwan delegation is set to visit Cebu and Iloilo on July 15 and 16, hosting tourism roadshows to deepen ties with over 100 local travel professionals, airlines, and media representatives. These events will introduce new attractions, travel packages, and incentives aimed at keeping Taiwan top of mind among Filipino tourists.

From its visa-free access to lively festivals and Instagram-worthy spots, Taiwan is positioning itself not just as a destination, but as an experience Filipinos can return to again and again. For Filipino travelers, there’s never been a better time to rediscover Taiwan’s timeless charm—no visa required.
