SM Foundation Brings Free Healthcare to Communities in Batangas and Quezon City

The two-day medical mission of SM Foundation in Nasugbu, Batangas, on June 10-11 served more than 500 individuals.

SM Foundation continues to make quality healthcare more accessible to underserved communities through its ongoing medical missions. Recently, the foundation extended vital medical services to over 2,000 individuals in Batangas and Quezon City, reinforcing its commitment to community well-being.

On June 10-11, the SM Foundation team traveled to Nasugbu, Batangas, where they provided free healthcare to more than 500 residents. The two-day mission offered a wide range of medical services, including consultations, dental check-ups, laboratory tests, X-rays, and ECG procedures, many of which were made possible through the fully equipped SM Foundation Mobile Clinic. These services were especially meaningful to residents who often face challenges in accessing affordable healthcare.

Just days later, on June 13, the SM Foundation conducted another large-scale medical mission at SM City Fairview in Quezon City. More than 1,400 patients from nearby communities benefited from free medical and dental services, bone screenings, blood tests, and other preventive health check-ups. The strong turnout underscored the importance of these missions in providing basic healthcare to people who need it most.

Through the support of dedicated volunteers, social good partners, and healthcare professionals, the SM Foundation ensures that every patient is cared for with warmth, professionalism, and respect. Volunteers assisted patients throughout their visits, helping them navigate the process and making them feel welcome and supported. Resident doctors and medical teams provided thorough consultations and screenings, prioritizing quality care.

SM Foundation’s medical missions are part of its broader Health and Medical Programs, which have served more than 1.3 million patients nationwide over the years. These programs are designed to promote preventive healthcare and offer immediate access to essential medical services in areas where such care is often limited.

For the SM Foundation, community development goes hand in hand with promoting health and well-being. By continuously reaching out to grassroots communities, the foundation strengthens its long-standing mission of providing not just relief, but lasting, life-changing support.

Through its health initiatives, SM Foundation upholds its belief that “people helping people” can make a meaningful difference—one patient, one community at a time.
